- Hendrik Marais -
Comes from humble beginnings. Born
in Pretoria, his family moved to Harare when his
father was a newspaper editor, but it was when the
family moved to Zambia to live on a farm that
Marais learned to love and appreciate open spaces
and the bush.

- Philippe Wagenfuhrer -
The love of cooking started at a very young
age for Chef Patron, Philippe Wagenfuhrer.
Born in Alsace, Strasbourg in 1968, Philippe
grew up in West Africa where, at the tender
age of eight, he would sit in hisgrandmother’s
kitchen savouring the tastes and aromas
as she cooked meals for the family.

Joined the Forum Homini team in 2006 after
she gained all round experience in finance from
operations and internal audits. Responsible for
Finance and HR of Forum Homini & roots restaurant.
