ROOTS @ TASTE OF JO'BURG


It’s that time of year again when the people of Johannesburg get to sample 16 of the city’s best restaurants fare under one roof.
Taste of Jo'burg ’09 will once again take place at the Montecasino Outdoor Event Area, from 30 September – 4 October 2009. This is the 3rd year of the show and its popularity keeps growing and growing. The event will be held over five days this year with the Friday lunch time session being replaced with a Wednesday evening session.
Included in some of the hot & happening restaurants being featured at Taste of Jo'burg is our own, roots restaurant.

Menu’s consisting of :

  • Soy and coriander marinated tilapia carpaccio
    •
  • Slow roasted springbok loin, with a sweet potato pomme puree and beetroot
    •
  • Spicy pistachio and wine poached pear tart with an ivory mousse

Don’t forget our ever present wine stand which is always close by and of course is a must for pairing up with our food.
Philippe and his team will be on hand to assist visitors in experiencing the food and wine pairing concept and of course will, no doubt, also add flamboyance and flair to our stand.
