Boarding takes places at 10h30 and guests are flown out of Johannesburg in a Classic Rovos aircraft which flies them to the Sun City Airport. After landing guests will be transferred to the Pilanesberg Game Reserve and arrive at Bakubung Lodge where guests enjoy a scrumptious lunch on the deck overlooking the game reserve. A two hour game drive is next on the agenda with possibilities of viewing Africa's Big 5.

B) Hot air ballooning overnight packages:

CLASSIC FLIGHT

In line with traditional balloon flights, the Classic Flight offers guests the serene beauty of floating gently over the Cradle of Humankind, while sipping on champagne, as the pilot allows the balloon at times to drift at tree top height and at other times will ascend into the skies, offering guests a panoramic view of the beautiful African landscape below.

The Classic Flight (allow 2-3 hours) is inclusive of tea/coffee and biscuits upon arrival, a balloon flight celebrated with champagne and orange juice transferred back for a 5 course gourmet breakfast at roots restaurant, and a commemorative flight certificate presented by the pilot.

SAFARI FLIGHT

The Safari Flight takes the Classic flight beyond traditional boundaries, and is the ultimate in game viewing experiences. The flight launches from the heart of the Rhino and Lion Nature Reserve and usually covers a large portion of the Reserve before moving into the surrounding game reserves, offering guests unique game viewing and photographic opportunities.

The Reserve is conveniently located within the world heritage site 'The Cradle of Humankind'. The Safari Flight (allow 3-4 hours) is inclusive of game drives through both the Rhino and Lion Nature Reserve, and the private game reserve of n'Gomo Safari Lodge.
