Fine red wine... balance, fruit and elegance

Saronsberg Wine tasting
Friday: 15 May 2009
Time: 19:00
Dinner: R350pp (6 course gourmet dinner with 6 wine teasers)
Nestled at the foot of the mountain after which it is named, Saronsberg wine estate is a contemporary addition to the rich heritage of Tulbagh valley. Winemaker, Dewaldt Heyns joined in 2003 and received numerous awards for their Savignon Blanc, starting a trend of continuous critical and awards success that has seen Saronsberg grow into one of the brightest new stars in the South African wine industry.
This consistency of excellence undoubtedly contributed to Dewaldt’s recent appointment to the prestigious Cape Winemakers’ Guild – an honour he regards as a personal privilege, as well as a testament to the dedicated efforts of Saronsberg’s cellar and vineyard teams.
Having recently won the local accolade for Best Red Wine in the Juliet Cullinan Connoisseurs’ Wine Awards, and a gold medal in South Africa’s Veritas Awards, the Saronsberg Full Circle 2006 has just proved its worth on the international stage by earning a coveted 5 stars from top UK wine magazine, Decanter. |
