With their vast experience of owning and managing companies in retail, wholesale and manufacturing, they're well-placed to expand their knowledge to tourism and hospitality. "The idea of a five star Hotel has always been on my list of 1000 things I'd like to do before I die," says Chairman, Hendrik Marais, "..and so when the opportunity came to build a Hotel in The Cradle of Humankind, all the pieces seemed to fall into place. Of course, with the upgrade of Sterkfontein and Blue IQ's futuristic Interpretation Centre opening this year; the timing is perfect"
